1. Who Can Become an Organiser
The Platform is open to churches, ministries, Gospel promoters, Christian event organisers, Christian charities and faith-based community groups. Commercial organisers with a connection to the Christian or Gospel community may also apply. MyChurch.Events reserves the right to approve or decline any organiser application at its sole discretion.
2. Organiser Account Requirements
To become an organiser, you must create an organiser account, provide accurate contact and organisation details, agree to this Merchant Agreement, and complete the payment processor onboarding process. You must keep your account details up to date at all times.
3. Identity Verification
MyChurch.Events and its payment processor may require identity and business verification as part of the onboarding process. This may include providing government-issued identification, company registration documents or bank account details. Failure to complete verification may result in restricted account access or withheld payouts.
4. Payment Processor Onboarding
Ticket sales through the Platform are processed via [PAYMENT PROCESSOR NAME]. Organisers must complete the payment processor's onboarding requirements, including KYC (Know Your Customer) checks, before receiving payouts. Organisers agree to the payment processor's terms of service in addition to this agreement.
5. Accurate Event Information
Organisers are solely responsible for ensuring that all event listings are accurate, complete and not misleading. This includes event title, description, date, time, location, ticket types, price, age restrictions and any special requirements. Misleading listings may be removed and may result in account suspension.
6. Ticket Types and Pricing
Organisers may create multiple ticket types (e.g. General Admission, VIP, Early Bird) and set prices in the supported currency. All prices must be stated inclusive of VAT where applicable. Organisers must not mislead buyers regarding pricing or add undisclosed fees at checkout.
7. Organiser Responsibility for Event Delivery
The organiser is solely responsible for organising, managing and delivering the event as described. If an event cannot proceed as planned, the organiser must notify ticket buyers promptly and comply with their stated refund policy and with MyChurch.Events' Organiser Refund Policy Requirements.
8. Venue, Licensing, Health and Safety, Insurance and Safeguarding
Organisers are responsible for ensuring that their events comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including venue licensing requirements, health and safety obligations, public liability insurance, DBS checks where children or vulnerable adults are involved, and any safeguarding requirements applicable to the nature of the event.
MyChurch.Events does not verify compliance with these requirements and shall not be liable for any failure by an organiser to meet them.
9. Taxes and VAT
Organisers are solely responsible for determining, collecting, reporting and remitting any taxes applicable to their ticket sales, including VAT. MyChurch.Events does not provide tax advice. The fees charged by MyChurch.Events are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
10. Platform Fees
MyChurch.Events charges a platform fee as a percentage of each ticket sold, as set out in the fee schedule provided during account setup or as updated from time to time with reasonable notice. The fee model (organiser absorbs, buyer pays, or split) is selected by the organiser at the time of event creation.
11. Payout Timing and Reserves
Payouts are processed by [PAYMENT PROCESSOR NAME] to the organiser's verified bank account following the event (or on a rolling basis, subject to the payment processor's schedule). MyChurch.Events or the payment processor may hold a reserve of funds in the event of elevated chargeback risk, disputed transactions or compliance investigations.
12. Chargebacks and Disputes
Organisers are responsible for managing and resolving chargebacks and payment disputes. In the event of a successful chargeback, the disputed amount plus any fees charged by the payment processor may be deducted from the organiser's account balance or future payouts. Organisers must cooperate fully with any chargeback investigations.
13. Refunds
Organisers must clearly state their refund policy before ticket checkout and must process refunds in accordance with that policy and with MyChurch.Events' Organiser Refund Policy Requirements. Platform fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.
14. Event Cancellation and Postponement
If an organiser cancels or substantially changes an event, they must notify MyChurch.Events and all ticket buyers as soon as reasonably practicable. In the event of a cancellation, the organiser must issue full refunds to all ticket buyers. MyChurch.Events reserves the right to process refunds on the organiser's behalf and to recover any amounts outstanding from the organiser.
15. Prohibited Events
Organisers must not list events that are fraudulent, involve illegal activities, promote content contrary to the Christian values of the Platform, or violate applicable law. MyChurch.Events will remove prohibited events without notice and may suspend or terminate the organiser's account.
16. Use of Attendee Data
Organisers receive attendee personal data (such as name and email address) solely for the purposes of managing the event for which tickets were purchased. Organisers must not use attendee data for unrelated marketing without a separate, freely given and specific consent from the attendee. Attendee data must not be sold or transferred to any third party without a lawful basis. Organisers must comply with applicable data protection law, including UK GDPR, and with MyChurch.Events' Data Processing Addendum for Organisers.
17. Intellectual Property Warranties
By uploading event content (descriptions, images, videos, names, logos), the organiser warrants that they own or are licensed to use that content and that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights. The organiser grants MyChurch.Events a non-exclusive licence to display, promote and share the content in connection with the Platform.
18. Suspension and Termination
MyChurch.Events may suspend or terminate an organiser's account at any time for breach of this agreement, fraudulent activity, excessive chargebacks, or for any other reason at our discretion. In the event of termination, the organiser remains liable for all outstanding obligations, including refunds owed to buyers.
19. Indemnity
The organiser agrees to indemnify and hold harmless MyChurch.Events Ltd, its directors, employees and agents from any claims, losses, damages or expenses (including legal fees) arising from the organiser's event, content, conduct or breach of this agreement.
20. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
