1. Christian-Friendly Marketplace Standards
MyChurch.Events is a platform dedicated to Christian and Gospel events. All participants — organisers, buyers and visitors — are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the values of respect, honesty and community that underpin the Christian faith.
This platform exists to uplift and connect the body of Christ. Content that is contrary to the spirit of Christian community, or that conflicts with the platform's purpose, will be removed.
2. Respectful Communication
All users must communicate with others on the Platform in a respectful and courteous manner. Aggressive, dismissive or contemptuous language has no place on MyChurch.Events. Disagreements about theological matters, ministry approaches or event content must be handled with grace and respect.
3. Prohibited Conduct
3.1 Harassment and Abuse
Harassment, personal attacks, threats, abuse or intimidation of any user, organiser, church, ministry, artist, speaker or employee of MyChurch.Events is strictly prohibited.
3.2 Fraudulent or Fake Events
Listing events that do not exist or that are intended to deceive attendees is a serious violation and may be referred to the relevant authorities.
3.3 Impersonation
You must not impersonate any church, ministry, artist, speaker, organisation or individual. Creating false impressions of association with a well-known Christian ministry or public figure is prohibited.
3.4 Unauthorised Ticket Reselling
Purchasing tickets with the intent to resell them at an inflated price (touting or scalping) is prohibited.
3.5 Illegal Activities
Using the Platform for any purpose that is unlawful under applicable law is prohibited.
3.6 Harmful Content
Sexually explicit, exploitative, violent, extremist or hateful content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and potential account termination.
3.7 Discrimination
Discriminating against any person based on race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender, disability, age, religion or any other protected characteristic is prohibited.
3.8 Misuse of Religious Language
Using religious language, scripture or spiritual authority to manipulate, deceive, coerce or pressure users into purchasing tickets, donating money or taking other actions is a serious violation.
3.9 Spam, Scams and Phishing
Sending unsolicited messages, creating fake listings to harvest personal data, or attempting to defraud users via the Platform is prohibited.
4. Misuse of Attendee Data
Event organisers who receive attendee data through MyChurch.Events must use that data only for legitimate event-related purposes. Using attendee data for unrelated marketing campaigns, selling it to third parties, or sharing it without a lawful basis is a serious breach of these guidelines and of data protection law.
Scraping, bots or automated tools that access the Platform without written authorisation from MyChurch.Events are strictly prohibited.
5. How to Report a Breach
If you witness or experience conduct that you believe violates these guidelines, you can report it using the "Report" function on the relevant listing, profile or event page, or by emailing legal@mychurch.events with the subject line "Community Report".
Please provide as much detail as possible, including the content or behaviour concerned, the date and time, and any evidence. Reports are treated confidentially.
6. How MyChurch.Events Investigates
MyChurch.Events will review all reports submitted in good faith. We may request additional information, interview parties, review Platform logs, or take immediate action to prevent ongoing harm. Our decisions are made at our sole discretion.
We do not guarantee a specific outcome in any individual case, and our investigations are conducted for internal platform governance purposes, not as formal legal proceedings.
7. Consequences of Breach
Depending on the nature and severity of the breach, consequences may include:
- A formal warning;
- Removal of specific content or event listings;
- Cancellation of tickets issued under a fraudulent event;
- Temporary suspension of your account;
- Permanent termination of your account;
- Withholding of funds in cases of fraud or dispute;
- Reporting to the police, HMRC, the Charity Commission or other relevant authorities.
MyChurch.Events reserves the right to take any of the above actions at any time, with or without prior notice, where we reasonably believe a serious breach has occurred.
