1. Browsing Events
You may browse events on MyChurch.Events without creating an account. Event listings are provided by third-party organisers and are not verified in their entirety by MyChurch.Events. If you are unsure about an event's details, contact the organiser directly via the contact information on the event listing.
2. Creating an Account
Creating an account allows you to purchase tickets, save events and manage your bookings. You must provide accurate information and keep your account details secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Buying Tickets
When you buy a ticket through MyChurch.Events, you are entering a contract with the event organiser. MyChurch.Events facilitates this transaction but is not a party to the ticket contract (unless MyChurch.Events is the named organiser). Payment is processed by [PAYMENT PROCESSOR NAME].
Before completing your purchase, you should review the event details, the organiser's refund policy and any age or access requirements. By completing your purchase, you confirm that you have read and accepted the organiser's terms.
4. Ticket Delivery and Digital Tickets
Tickets purchased through MyChurch.Events are delivered digitally by email and accessible from your account. Each ticket contains a unique QR code for entry. You are responsible for ensuring that you receive your ticket and that it is valid.
If you do not receive your ticket, check your spam folder and then contact support at legal@mychurch.events.
5. Event Entry
Admission to an event is subject to presentation of a valid ticket QR code. The event organiser is responsible for admission and entry decisions. MyChurch.Events is not responsible for admission disputes at the venue.
Printed or digital copies of your ticket are equally valid unless the organiser specifies otherwise.
6. Buyer Responsibilities
As a ticket buyer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate personal details at checkout;
- Comply with the event organiser's terms and any venue rules;
- Not share your ticket QR code with others intending to use it for unauthorised entry;
- Behave lawfully and respectfully at events;
- Not use the Platform to purchase tickets for fraudulent resale.
7. Event Organiser Responsibilities
Event organisers are solely responsible for the accurate description, organisation, delivery, safety and legality of their events. They are also responsible for handling refunds in accordance with their stated policy and with MyChurch.Events' Organiser Refund Policy Requirements.
8. MyChurch.Events' Marketplace Role
MyChurch.Events is a marketplace platform. Unless expressly stated as an organiser of a specific event, MyChurch.Events does not organise, manage or take responsibility for third-party events listed on the Platform. MyChurch.Events facilitates the connection between buyers and organisers.
9. Pricing, Fees and Taxes
Ticket prices are set by the event organiser. A booking fee or service charge may be applied by MyChurch.Events at checkout and will be clearly displayed before payment. All prices shown are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Currency and tax treatment may vary by event location.
10. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund rights depend on the event organiser's stated refund policy, which must be displayed before checkout. In the event of a cancellation, MyChurch.Events will endeavour to notify you, but the organiser is responsible for processing refunds.
For postponed events, refund entitlement depends on the organiser's policy. Please contact the organiser in the first instance. If you cannot resolve a dispute with an organiser, contact legal@mychurch.events.
Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable legislation are not affected by these terms.
11. Free Events
Tickets for free events are issued as a booking confirmation only. Refunds are not applicable to free-of-charge bookings. The organiser retains the right to cancel a free event at any time.
12. Misuse of Tickets
Tickets are for personal use only and may not be resold, transferred for profit or used for commercial purposes unless expressly permitted by the organiser. Misuse of tickets may result in cancellation of the ticket and account suspension.
13. Lost or Stolen Tickets
If you believe your ticket has been compromised, contact us at legal@mychurch.events as soon as possible. We may be able to invalidate and reissue the ticket in certain circumstances, but this cannot be guaranteed.
14. Consumer Complaints
If you have a complaint about an event, a ticket purchase or the Platform, contact us at legal@mychurch.events. We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 2 working days and respond substantively within 5 working days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be entitled to refer your complaint to an alternative dispute resolution body or to the courts.
